About the role

As Asbestos Team Supervisor, you will assist the Group Compliance Manager and team coordinator in leading asbestos safety management across the organisation.

You will be responsible for ensuring we meet our operational standards for asbestos safety in your area, providing audits of our performance in other key areas and monitoring activities with our contractors.

Auditing our internal survey team and external licenced contractors. Whilst also carrying out audits of our external surveying teams previous surveyed properties. You will also provide a point of contact for Enforcing Authorities in your area, acting as a point of contact for HSE and other relevant enforcement bodies.

You will supervise a team of asbestos project surveying professionals who will be responsible for carrying out a number of asbestos safety related activities, such as Management Surveys, Refurbishment & Demolition Surveys, Re-inspection Surveys, and management of asbestos related actions via a cloud-based system and other property related compliance duties.

You will supervise your team to manage pre-arranged visits to a number of blocks/schemes to complete regular inspections/tests within the common areas, you will also lead your team to manage pre-arranged visits to a number of domestic properties complete regular inspections/tests post inspections and audit all completed works and resolving technical queries.

In the event of staff sickness, annual leave or heavy workloads the asbestos team supervisor may be required to carry out Management/R&D surveys, take emergency samples and carry out re-inspections to non-domestic properties.

About you

The successful candidate will have a P402/P405 as a minimum.

Experience of working within social housing and managing a team with good communication and analytical skills.

Knowledge of Cars 2012.

Must be familiar with TEAMS software with both surveying and back of house systems and proficient in Microsoft 365 software.
